Barlby, England.
Altdorf, Switzerland.
Zagreb, Croatia.
Three places that are a far cry from one another, but bridged together by one simple thing: fandom. Dunn&Co. is proud to have brought home four EMMYs for our Distant Thunder series.
The Distant Thunder series has traveled all around the world, each spotlighting Tampa Bay Lightning fans where you’d least expect to find them. Our crew flies to these locations, getting to know each of these fans and their stories.
First up, we traveled to Switzerland to meet Leandro Corrado, a Lightning fan since 2003. He discovered the team through playing a video game, and now stays up at night and into the morning to watch the games.
Next up was England to meet Hayley Roberts, a local hockey photographer and long-time Lightning lover. Hockey brings her whole family together, but she and her dad, in particular, share an affinity for our dear Bolts.
Lastly, we traveled to Croatia, where we met with father-and-son duo, Mirko and Lovro Brkljačić. The two enjoy going to the local pub to watch the Lightning play, bringing them closer with every game.
The Distant Thunder campaign is an intimate, meticulous endeavor that we are proud to produce. From getting camera gear through TSA to spending invaluable time with these fans, the Distant Thunder is one of Dunn&Co.’s proudest productions.
To us, these stories are priceless, but we’ll happily and graciously accept these awards.
