Return Of The Internship

My first internship was at Dunn&Co. It melted my face off. You know, in a good way.

It was hard, but rewarding. I was writing real work for real brands. I was going to overnight commercial shoots in other cities. I was seated next to the Creative Director, and could dig into his brain whenever I wanted. When my first radio script got produced I screamed, or cried.

More of a crycophony, really.

That was more than five years ago. Since then we’ve iterated upon, tweaked, and in some cases fully restructured the program. This past year we took a step back and fielded no interns at all. That wasn’t very fun, so we sat down to talk about how to revivify the program.

After some bourbon and brainstorming we knew what we wanted. More structure, more opportunity, more collaboration.

We’re looking for a core-four team of interns to represent each of our departments: production, creative, digital, and account/strategy. Above all else you’ve gotta be hungry for great work, for growth, for sharing your unique perspective on the world.

Now I know what you’re thinking. It’s the same thing that I was thinking five years ago: “Will I be paid for my Dunn&Co. internship?”

No! Compensation will take the form of experience, real industry work, mentorship, and a foot in the door at Tampa’s best shop — all things that will launch your career and help feed that insatiable hunger to create.

Still with me? Good. Give us your best pitch by sending your stuff to the link below.
