TAMPA, Fla. – September 20, 2012 – The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) announced today that it has named Dunn&Co. its new agency of record. In the coming months, Dunn&Co. will complete a series of global strategic marketing initiatives, showcasing the Caribbean island’s position as a serious player in both tourism and business development on the world stage. The announcement follows an extensive agency search that began in the Fall of 2011 and concluded with Dunn&Co. being selected from five North and South America advertising agencies.
The full-service advertising agency based in Tampa, Fla. will produce the island’s new website and brand campaign components as part of the program. The communications will be designed to differentiate the island from its neighbors while creating an immediate spike in awareness for Curaçao as a travel and business destination. New work for the island is expected to roll out on December 15.
“Like Curaçao, Dunn&Co. was different from its peers, and demonstrated a unique understanding of our desired Curaçao tourist, out-of-the-box thinking, and truly outstanding creative concepts,” said Ghatim Kabbara, CEO, Curaçao Tourist Board.
Curaçao, an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, offers visitors a unique combination of European city life, in its UNESCO world-heritage site capital of Willemstad, along with unspoiled natural terrain and beautiful Caribbean beaches that dot the island’s coastline. The island is rooted in and embraces a fascinating history that combines threads of European, South American, African and native Arawak peoples, but is also focused on a dynamic future of growth and development.
