In 2011, Lightning owner Jeff Vinik, along with his wife, Penny, launched the Lightning Community Heroes program to distribute $10 million dollars to deserving Heroes throughout the Tampa Bay community over a five-year period. A $50,000 check is awarded to a non-profit charity at each of the Lightning’s 41 home games. We are honored to be part of this season’s program by creating the videos that share the stories of unsung Heroes who are making a difference in Tampa Bay through their dedication to service, leadership and volunteerism.
