We’re proud to be working with Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home of Winter, star of the #1 box office movie Dolphin Tale. Our task is simple: build on the momentum created by the movie and its smash DVD release, both of which have been driving fans to CMA from all over the world. We’re excited about this new opportunity and will soon be posting work for the summer campaign.
We were in a pitch this week. We can’t say what it is. But we’ll surely tell you if we win. Pitches are crazy. A ton of time and effort go into them. But that’s the nature of the business. Plus, pitches have a way of pumping a new kind of energy into a place. They keep you sharp. You invent and re-invent. Best of all, they require all hands on deck. And we had a lot of hands in this one. The collaboration was great. Everyone involved played a major role. It’s terribly cliché, but here it is: we’ve already won. – Glen

I heard about this mysterious creature named Jon that worked here before I did. “Super talented,” people would say. “Scary good art director,” others would gush. I was bummed that I didn’t get to work with him just as much as the rest of the crew was bummed that he was gone. One door opens another. Out walked Jon. In walked Grant. He’s killer. But now Jon is back and even scarier than before. And we still have Grant. And Michael. And Brit. And Silvana. And…well, you’ll just have to stop by some time to meet the team that makes us one of the best shops in town. Welcome home, Jon.

We just wrapped an incredible three days in Los Angeles shooting a national TV spot for Valpak and the online video that complements it. What a blast. We shot with director Eric Steinman of Brainwash and were honored to have acclaimed cinematographer Antonio Calvache (Little Children, In the Bedroom) behind the camera. Next: two days of editing and sound in New York. The work will debut in March. Stay tuned.
One of our agency digital sleuths dug up this article I wrote for Ad Age’s Talentworks section in 2008. I had forgotten all about it. But the point I was making still holds true today even with the advent of sites like LinkedIn: take time to develop your informal networking skills. Treat every occasion as an opportunity to make a lasting impression. Create a rapport, listen and have fun. You can read the entire article here. – Troy
